ISED Certification | ISED Wireless Device Registration Fee Will Rise Again
Wireless products sold in Canada must pass IC certification. Therefore, IC certification is a passport and necessary condition for wireless electronic products to enter the Canadian market.
Regarding Canada's ISED:
On October 31, 2023, Canada notified ISED that the registration fee for wireless devices was facing an increase. These further price increases are considered after April 1st next year:
Starting from November 1, 2023:
New registration application: fee of USD750
Change application registration: fee USD 375
Starting from April 1, 2024:
New registration application: fee increased from USD750 to USD783
Change application registration: fee increased from USD375 to USD391.5
The ISED fee is based on the CPI [Consumer Price Index] and is expected to be adjusted again in April 2024, with an expected increase of 4.4%.
Please refer to the official subsequent announcement for specific details.
In addition, the device registration fee for ISED will incur additional taxes if the applicant is a local company in Canada, and this tax rate policy has been implemented.
