Nigeria Soncap Certification
SONCAP is a new policy implemented by the Nigerian federal government to inspect and control unqualified and unsafe products to the country.
The objective of implementing SONCAP is to ensure that regulated products meet the relevant requirements of acceptable standards and facilitate the management of regulated products by relevant government agencies that have regulatory responsibility for product quality.
SONCAP certificate is regulated products in Nigeria customs for clearance of statutory and necessary documents, the lack of SONCAP certificate will cause product quality control clearance delay or were denied access to the domestic market in Nigeria. Special note is that the SONCAP applies to the control of the product, the Nigeria government provides other import procedures are still valid.

Category 1: including video games and other electronic toys. Electronic games, entertainment equipment and outdoor playground equipment.
Category 2: electrical and electronic products (IT equipment, home audio-visual equipment and other similar electronic products; household vacuum cleaners and absorbent equipment, etc.)
Category 3: automotive products (automotive glass, vehicle parts);
Category 4: building materials and gas appliances (gas appliances, galvanized steel)
