August 14, 2008, the United States "Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008" (CPSIA) signed by the US president after the formal effect.
The first chapter of the bill, a total of eight articles, put in the US market of consumer goods, especially children's products made a strict security requirements. 8 terms are as follows:
Article 101 Leaded children's products; Lead paint regulations
Article 102 Forced third party testing of certain children's products
Article 103 Traceability of children's products
Article 104 Durable child product standards and consumer registration
Article 105 Requirements for labeling of toys and game advertisements
Article 106 Mandatory toy safety standards
Article 107 Research on a small number of child injury and death related to consumer goods
Article 108 prohibits the sale of certain products containing phthalates
Where the total lead content of the paint in a similar surface coating shall not exceed 90 mg / kg and the total lead content of the contactable substrate shall not exceed 100 mg / kg; Article 108 limits Children's toys and children's care products used in the six kinds of specific phthalates, the content of each category shall not exceed 1000mg / kg.
