In March 2011, the EU enacted a new Building Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 (also known as the Construction Regulations Regulation). Aimed at establishing a coherent building material performance evaluation and expression rules, as well as the use of CE mark principles, so that building products into the EU market procedural requirements and technical language more transparent, more rigorous and more accurate.


Based on the CPR regulations, the European Union in March 2016 also issued (EU) 2016/364 regulations, for all types of building materials (including wire and cable) provides a fire rating and the corresponding test methods. According to the European Commission Bulletin 2015 / C 378/03, EN 50575: 2014 in July 2016 has become the construction of wire and cable fire safety requirements of the coordination standard, the standard will be July 1, 2017 from the official implementation.
